 G.R.A.C.E. Disaster Institute

G.R.A.C.E. Disaster Institute opened its doors on September 18, 2006!  We had over 100 attendees at the Grand opening.  There were several guest speakers including Ms. Carrie Kraft, FEMA's Chief Operations Operator in Houston, TX.

The G.R.A.C.E. Disaster Institute is aimed at recruiting and educating African American and Ethnically Diverse churches and ministries on disaster relief and preparedness before, during and after a disaster. 

Our specialized curriculum instructs churches/ministries on various subjects, such as: sheltering, volunteering, case management, construction and hospitality.

The curriculum is enriched with case studies, specialized trainings and in class discussions.

 

 

Additionally, GDI offers advanced training and certification in First Aid/CPR (per guidelines thru the American Red Cross).

Upon completion of our training session, each

participant will receive a certificate of completion.
