Great things come in small packages!  G. R. A. C. E. Community Services is a small ministry doing BIG things.

The Case Management Department is elated at the great successes of the "Uniform Store."  GCS has a client base of over 1000 clients.  We were able to stand firm in our motto - "giving individuals a hand - up and not a hand - out." With the help of a local retailer, we were able to provide survivor students with much needed school uniforms and school supplies.

2 Corinthians 9:6 - 7 (6) Remember this, a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop.  But, the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. (7) You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure, "For GOD loves a person who gives cheerfully."

In our human-ness, we sometimes take for granted the many opportunities we are granted.  It is our desire to make sure that we are in a position to provide our clients with opportunities that will help them on their path to recovery. That aid extends to the children of those families also. Our approach is to help propel survivors (family and children) toward self-sustainability.

We all know that if worries crowd our mind, it is difficult to focus on the task at hand.  School is intimidating enough without having to be concerned about what "I will wear." 

It was the desire of GCS to eliminate that particular stress factor.  With the help of the community, we were able to outfit our survivor students with these necessities for the first bright days of school.
